Students in grades 9th through 12 must earn 75 community service hours to be eligible to graduate. Hours can be earned in a combination of church, school and community service.
Some examples of service hours are:
Community hours - Relay for Life, summer youth programs, nursing homes, or fire department fundraisers
Church hours - teach VBS, clean church/buildings, puppet crusades, or sound systems
School (after hours) - concession/gates, bulletin boards, or fruit deliveries (Jr. and Sr.’s only)
Parents/relatives may not sign service forms. Students cannot work for relatives or individuals. Work/service must be done for nonprofit organizations.
